Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers
When: Friday, November 25, 2016
Time: 10:30 p.m. EST
The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers will be facing each other for the second time in three days when they meet again at the Staples Center on Friday night. Golden State improved its winning streak to nine games by hammering Los Angeles 149-106 on Wednesday. The Lakers have lost three of their last four contests but still register at a respectable 8-8.
The Golden State Warriors:
- 3-1-1 ATS in their last five overall
- 3-1-1 ATS in their last five road games
- 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games against Los Angeles
The Los Angeles Lakers:
- 1-4-1 ATS in their last six overall
- 1-3-1 ATS in their last five home games
- 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games after allowing at least 100 points in their previous game
Warriors’ forward Draymond Green suffered a corneal abrasion on Wednesday but is still expected to play Friday. Reserve guard Ian Clark scored 21 points in 18 minutes on 7-of-8 shooting. Two-time MVP Stephen Curry went 0-of-10 from three-point range in the Nov. 4 loss but went 7-of-12 from beyond the arc in Friday’s rematch. The trio of Curry, Durant, and Klay Thompson outscored the entire Los Angeles team 81-78 through the first three quarters. The Lakers should be able to make this one much closer (that isn’t saying a lot), but without Russell 12.5 points may not be enough. The Warriors are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five overall, 3-1-1 ATS in their last five on the road, and 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings between the two teams. Los Angeles is 1-4-1 ATS in its last six overall, 1-3-1 ATS in its last five at home, and 1-3-1 ATS in its last five after giving up at least 100 points in its previous outing. Expect those trends to continue.
Our Pick: Golden State Warriors
